ICD -10 Internship

COURSE DESCRIPTION
The ICD-10 Internship program provides students with an experience of working in a real coding company. This helps prepare them for their first real coding job. Almost all medical coding jobs require the employees to meet a particular quota of work, the internship offers students a chance to experience timed coding sessions that include outpatient and inpatient coding. The students will also learn how to apply HIPAA as well as how to actually use ICD-10-CM, CPT, ICD-9-CM and HCPCS codes. Once the students successfully complete the internship program, they are awarded a portfolio that lists their coding proficiency in 18 different specialties.
